Soanes Poultry wins a Hull Daily Mail Business Award

Nigel Upson received the Hull Daily Mail award

Writing awards nominations is one of the communications services that I offer to my clients and I’m always proud and delighted when my nominations result in a place in the final, or better still, a win, as was the case for Soanes Poultry recently.

Middleton-on-the-Wolds based poultry business Soanes Poultry won the Large Business of the Year award in the annual Hull Mail Business awards.

The winners of the awards were announced this week at a virtual ceremony that was hosted by BBC Breakfast presenter, Louise Minchin with Hull Daily Mail and Hull Live publisher, Neil Hodgkinson.

The 21st annual awards recognised and celebrated the brilliance shown by the companies and individuals in Hull and East Yorkshire who have kept the economy going during an unprecedented and challenging year.

Soanes Poultry’s MD, Nigel Upson collected the award on behalf of the 120 strong team: “Our team worked round the clock to keep local butchers supplied with our award-winning chicken during each lockdown and continue to work hard to satisfy increased orders as people are still choosing to support local butchers and independent retailers.”

Soanes Poultry faced stiff competition from North Newbald based Rockar, who provide e-Commerce solutions for car manufacturers and dealers.
